Echos of School

A poem where I tried deeply resonate with school

Staring at the clouds reminded me of the school I grew in, Upgrading from a half-chaddi to a full pant, The first time pants draped around legs so thin, While the trend talked about styling hair slant.

It was a lot about Robinson Crusoe, Sherlock Holmes, And can we even forget the man Phileas Fogg? Couldn’t get my head around something called Ohms, Which crashed my system, being a memory hog.

2nd grade was a hard time, Dictation tests were a new thing Look me some time to understand the number line, Cursive was something I loved to cling.

Growing up, somewhere I realized I was in good hands for the most part. There was nowhere I could see white lies, But it was me who made everything hard.

Leaving everything like maple leaves flowing with the wind, Blindly and decisively choking my own neck, Thinking it was just the fault of a childish mind, Realizing, understanding, and living through it like a beck.
